Engineering Research

Birgit Brecknell has a Bachelor of Engineering (Aerospace/Avionics, 2001) and a PhD in Engineering (Computer Vision, 2004) from the Queensland University of Technology. After completing her PhD, she worked in medical image processing at the CSIRO e-Health Research Centre (2005-2007), followed by various image and signal processing projects at the Queensland University of Technology and the University of Western Sydney (2008-2011). Birgit is currently working with The University of Queensland's Cognitive Engineering Research Group on human factors projects, which investigate the design of systems and devices with respect to human characteristics.
